    well, this made me feel old. i remember being in a shitty mezanine offce at 12 s. 6th street when i heard about the release of postfix. iirc, it was called vmail and then renamed to postfix a few months later.

    the opportunity to ditch sendmail was far too awesome to ignore. i think we all ran into the open arms of postfix to save ourselves the lunacy of sendmail.cf file updates and m4 macro processing.
