there’s a lot to unpack in this SotS address. it’s considerbly more wonky than i would have expected. but i do love the fact that he’s sticking up for his state. illinois is one of the few states (including minnesota) that sends more in taxes to the federal government than it gets back. the current administration’s behavior is theft pure and simple.
