while outlining that extinctions have taken place in a massive scale over the course of earth’s history the book doesn’t really take any interesting position as to whether there should be special consideration to the impact of humans in being at the core of a massive extinction.

an interesting journey across the world and catalog of impacts though.

it leaves folks with plenty of latitude to impose their own world view in the state of things.
